Quick-look Review: Vox Telecom
After having tried (and been disappointed with) several International VOIP vendors, we have now signed with Vox Telecom. As far as telecommunications and internet services are concerned - don't expect much in the service department. I guess it could be related to the volume of customers these companies have to deal with. So with VOX we were expected to be disappointed. Most SA internet operators are hard to even buy from, not even mentioning getting after sales service.
VOX
Signing up was easy - website. Communication was good.
The fax to email service was not working for the first few days. After logging a support request, they responded surprisingly well. The solutions was never resolved in the request however, but started working a few days later.
When configuring the PBX to connect to VOX, we had a few issues which VOX telephone support quickly helped with.
CONCLUSION
We are now setup and operational with VOX services and thus far we are happy. If asked, I would recommend VOX to fellow South-Africans, but we have just started - so it remains to be seen.
We are currently in a test phase as far as equipment is concerned to see how we can further VOIP with VOX as a partner.
